BIG OAK STUDIO is committed to the health and well-being of our clients, partners and friends. Through your support, our thoughtful, integrated design solutions continually seek to better the communities we serve. Stay safe and stay in touch.
OUR Clients ARE OUR most important resource
BIG OAK STUDIO is founded on the premise that our Clients are the most important resource for any project. Truly understanding our Client’s vision through continuous involvement in the design process results in successful design solutions for our clients and their communities. With this client-based focus, BIG OAK STUDIO has grown from three root values: RELATIONSHIP DRIVEN, CONSERVATION FOCUSED and COMMITMENT BASED.
PEOPLE MATTER: At BIG OAK STUDIO we believe that all relationships are important. Each project requires a committed team of designers and other partners to bring key insights to project solutions. BIG OAK STUDIO is committed to providing unique designs for each client through a robust process which “discovers” shared solutions instead of dictating generic outcomes.
RESOURCES ARE FINITE: Conservation is key to every successful project, from understanding a Client’s budget is limited and their time valuable, to knowing this planet has limited resources and so our projects must be sustainable and resilient for the future . BIG OAK STUDIO is focused on being a good steward of all resources associated with our Client’s design solutions.
SUCCESS IS LONG TERM: Every project is a commitment for the Client, society, and the environment. A project that is difficult to maintain, expensive to use, or does not improve lives is not a design solution. BIG OAK STUDIO is committed to evaluating the operations, maintenance, and overall impact of every design solution, both now and for future generations.

OWNER / ARCHITECT
When you have Clint [Whitley at Big Oak Studios] on your project you know that it will be done thoroughly. It will be done efficiently, it will be done within budget and he is there for us as the client. He will go toe to toe with the contractor and/or design team on behalf of the owner each time.
Through our project here at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, he has been our number one advocate to ensure that the issues that we had in the past were addressed in this renovation. But not just addressed but that our envelope exceeds standards and ensures us that we are “future-proofing” this building for generations to come.
Clint being an architect in the commissioning world brings an entirely different prospective that other engineering firms cannot provide. Through his lens the entire project is considered not just his scope of work. He can and will catch things that can be often overlooked.
He has advised me on several occasions during this project that has reiterated to me that we made the right choice hiring Big Oak Studio.Erik Swindle
